Suam na Mais at Gulay Recipe (Corn and Vegetable Soup)
Suam na Mais- Corn is the main ingredient and vegetable which includes squash blossoms. Also some add spinach, bittermelon leaves, malunggay leaves,
This tasty soup is good for our body to give strength to our immune system .This is my recipe version of Suam na Mais.
1/4 kilo minced pork
1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 gloves garlic crushed
1 medium onion sliced
1/4 kilo Shrimp peeled
1 cup sweet corn
1 cup squash blossoms
3 cups chicken broth
salt and pepper to taste
1. Heat the pan and put oil.Add garlic and sautee until light brown color.
2.Add onion and stir until soften, put meat ,sautee and cook for about 10 minutes.
3. Add corn,squash blossoms ,shrimps and chicken broth and simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
4.Season with salt and pepper.
5.Serve while hot.Enjoy!
