Sisig recipe (Sizzling Pork)
Sisig is the most favorite of filipinos specially prepare on every occassions or usual lunch or dinner.
This dish is originately from North Luzon , in Pampanga, some says they just accidentally burned the pork while grilling.and they dont like to waste food.So they decided to prepare something that could be new recipe.They use pork head for this dish.But now there too many choices that you can use as a main ingredient for this recipe including fish,seafood,chicken,or even vegetables. For this recipe you can choose what main ingredients that you like. Here's our recipe;
1/2 kilo pork head or porkchop
2 gloves garlic
1 tsp peppercorn
1/4 cup vinegar
1 L of water
1 tsp butter or margarine
1 medium onion chopped
1 bird's eye red chilli
1 green pepper
1 fresh egg
1 tbsp mayonaise
1 tbsp boiled liver minced
1 1/2 tbsps soy sauce
1 tbsp calamansi juice
salt and pepper to taste
1. Boil meat with garlic,peppercorn,vinegar ,water and salt for about 1-2 hours until tender.
2.After boiling the meat , let the meat to be cold, and chop .
3.Heat pan or sizzling plate with butter and put the meat,onion, and mix until even.
4.Season with soysauce,salt and pepper.Put liver and calamansi juice and mix until is done.
5.Put egg on top of sisig.
6.Garnish with mayonaise,calamansi and chilli.
7.Serve while sizzles .Enjoy!
You may combine this dish with rice or with beer.
