Philippines-Super Typhoon Yolanda Latest Death Toll at 5,560 People

 The Death Toll from Super Typhoon Yolanda which pummeled Visayas last Nov. 8, 2013 has risen to 5,560 NDRRMC said on Thursday morning. The number of people injured and missing remained at 26, 136 and 1,757 respectively. According to NDRRMC "Situation Report No. 46: Effects of Super Typhoon Yolanda." 19 were dead in Palawan, 2 in Quezon, 1 in Batangas, 5 in Masbate, 1 in Albay, 1 in Camarines Norte, 112 in Ilo-ilo, 14 in Aklan, 74 in Capiz, 13 in Antique, 2 in Negros Occidental, 73 in Cebu, 1 in Bohol, 265 in Eastern Samar, 4,746 in Leyte, 224 in Samar, 5 in Biliran, 1 in Zamboanga City and 1 in Surigao Del Sur. The number of people affected in 44 provinces and 57 cities in Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Davao, Caraga regions is now at 2.318 million families or 10.884 million people.
