Philippines-Super Typhoon Yolanda Death Toll Reaches 4,015 People Already

The death toll of Super Typhoon Yolanda which pummeled Visayas last November 8, 2013 has risen to 4,015 people, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Friday morning. The number of people injured and missing remained at 18,567 and 1,602 respectively. According to the NDRRMC's situation report no. 34: Effects of Super Typhoon Yolanda, 16 were dead in Palawan, 1 in Quezon, 1 in Batangas, 4 in Masbate, 1 in Camarines Norte, 111 in ilo-ilo, 12 in Aklan, 54 in Capiz, 12 in Antique, 2 in Negros Occidental, 73 in Cebu, 1 in Bohol, 221 in Eastern Samar, 3,310 in Leyte, 190 in Samar, 4 in Biliran, 1 in Zamboanga City and 1 in Surigao del Sur. A total of 921, 356 families or 4.330 million people were displaced, of which 81, 792 families or 381,022 people are in 1,529 evacuation centers.
