The US Pres.Obama Had Phone Call to PNoy
The US Pres. Obama last Tuesday spoke to PNoy over the phone to show his condolences for the devastation caused by the Super Typhoon Yolanda. He also said that the US Agency for International Development and the Department of Defense are giving significant assistance to the people of the Philippines. "After landfall, US Marines were some of the 1st to help deliver supplies for the relief effort" he said to the press during the briefing. "American aircraft are delivering vital assistance and equipment. The United States is also providing food aid to feed tens of thousands of people in the coming days." "Additionally, the Aircraft Carrier USS George Washington and several escort ships are on their way to the Philippines."
