Philippines-Inmates of the Bilibid Prison Donates to the Super Typhoon Yolanda Victims
Inmates of the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa donated their personal belongings to help victims of the Super Typhoon Yolanda which caused enormous destruction and killed thousands of people in the Visayas region. According to the NBP Supt. Tesoro, the prisoners gave their shirts, blankets, sandals and noodles as their own way of contributing to the relief operations and efforts for thousands of families who are suffering because of the typhoon. NDRRMC said as Nov. 12 a total of 1,774 people were all dead with 2,487 injured and 82 missing. About Php 1.38 million families in 39 provinces were all victims of this tragic typhoon.
